Hi
Friends!
I launched my first serous Internet
venture in 2001. During my first 9 months, I made all the
mistakes... I learned the hard way: by doing... and I persevered to
build one of the foremost information promotion sites for the Energy
industry, Energypromotion. During my first year in business, I had
no idea there was an "Internet Marketing" industry. I thought "JV"
meant Junior Varsity (which I later learned means "Joint Venture").
:-)
After stumbling, learning, and
growing for a year, I attended my first Internet Marketing seminar
in Florida in January 2003. I noticed that a full 1/3 of the
attendees were women; but
ALL of the speakers were men. While all of the speakers had
wonderful content, I still felt that I wanted to hear from a woman
who had built a successful Internet business. Let's face it,
ladies... women communicate differently than men, in general. We are
more community-based and value networking and communication. That's
not to say that men don't... I think we just do it more.
I think that women often interact
differently with each other when men aren't around, too. Many of the
successful male Internet Marketers have very strong personalities.
In fact, many of them are "celebrities" in their own right, and are
often seen as unapproachable.
It's hard
to connect at those HUGE Internet events with hundreds of people in
the room clamoring to chat with one of the "gurus."
After I attended several more events,
I shed my anonymity and offered myself up at a few events to share
my story:

When I say inexperienced, I mean I
didn't even KNOW what a URL was, much less how to "register" one,
what a "host" was, how to create a website, or how to build lists!
After finally presenting at a few
events, I discovered that the number of successful female Internet
Marketers who are sharing their knowledge can be counted on one
hand. So I went out to find some of them and they agreed to share
their success and horror stories with you at the Women's Web
Workshop!
The
Trainers at this event will walk you through, in simple language,
step-by-step, how to start and build your new business.
So with the encouragement of some of
my coaching students, and many of the male speakers, I decided to
produce the Women's Web Workshop. I have sought out some of the most
successful women who are doing business on the web in many
surprising ways. These ladies will show you what they are doing and
how. They'll share their stories through interactive training, and
answer your questions over lunches and dinners.
It's now two years since I started my
first Internet Business. I now have dozens of sites and multiple
projects in-the-works. I don't claim to know everything. Not even
CLOSE! BUT... I do know how to find people who know things I don't.
And I'm gathering them here at this ONE-OF-A-KIND event to teach you
how to launch your OWN Internet business.
There
will be no jargon and no hype at this event, ladies!
We'll have no "talking heads" here, I
promise you. Every *Trainer* will be coached by me on tested
techniques for presenting their information. These techniques engage
all of your senses so that you will retain more information, make
more personal connections, and have lots of "AHA!" moments!
With my degree in public
communication, a minor in creative problem solving facilitation, and
a background in conference production, I promise you this event will
